Well, what do you think? I spent quite some time playing around with my blog, trying to create a new look. I got bored with the standard old one. And so many others blogs are pretty and interesting to look at. Unfortunately my tech-know-how is not up to much. I managed to widen the width of the posts, as the blank columns each side seemed a waste. Having done that, maybe the new width is a bit less easy on the eyes? I changed colours, i guess that was the easier part. Can't work out how to get rid of the number(is it 897) box, so I'll have to leave it there. Oh, I also put a picture behind the heading. Nice colourful veggies. It's not the most inspired ever, but it's a change. Until I can find a blog template I like or work out anything else, It'll do :)

Congratulations - this looks great! I really like the background color and the header - my only suggestion would be to make the font a little larger since the post width is bigger (it makes it easier to read!)
I looked at your source code and can't figure out where the 897 is coming from either. I am horrible at HTML, though. :)

I'll have a go at enlarging the font, maybe on the weekend, it really does take me ages to try and work computer stuff out, and then it doesn't always work! Thanks for your comments.
Changing the font size is pretty easy - it's under Layout > Fonts and Colors - then scroll down on the left to "Text Font". You can change the font family and/or and make it bigger or smaller. (The browser I am using views everything in Arial but I can see you are using Trebuchet - I think that's the default!)

yay! thanks for the input, it wasn't so difficult. i just changed main font size from 'small' to 'medium', it is easier to read :)
I like the new font size (I do not have the world's best eyesight!)

Ups, we don't know what your blog looked like - but it looks great now! We have the same problem with the post width on our blog, there IS so much waste of space. Our mom will need to find out how to widen it, too.
